Our Motivation

Since Movember took root in Ireland, it has encouraged men to talk about their health. Men are four times more likely to die by suicide than women, especially men aged 45-54 (2017 HSE). In addition, 3,600 men are diagnosed with prostate or testicular cancer every year, with many dying due to late detection because they felt uncomfortable coming forward with symptoms.
But the best part of this challenge? It’s a bit of fun! It’s an invitation to connect and laugh with each other. And this is something we do really well in Gilead Sciences in Cork and Dublin :) So let's make the world a better place for our fathers, brothers, husbands and friends!
