After 30 years, musical genius and moustache connoisseur John Oates is bringing back his epic Mo.
The iconic pop-rock star of Hall & Oates is teaming up with Movember to help raise awareness and funds for men’s health.
For years, those beautiful whiskers were front and centre as fans around the world swooned to the epic tunes of legendary rock and soul duo, Hall & Oates. But for the last 3 decades, the Mo remained dormant. Now, just in time for the hairy season, those famous follicles are returning. Oates, the moustachioed half of the musical duo, is shaving down and growing his glorious Mo this Movember, to start conversations about men’s mental health.
With a five decade plus career in the spotlight, Oates is opening up about his own personal mental health struggles in the hopes of encouraging other men to start having these conversations with themselves and their fellow Bros.
After confronting his own trauma and the impact this has had on his life, Oates is reflecting on the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, how he overcame them, and how it prompted him to shave off his iconic moustache in a moment of ritualistic shedding and reinvention.
“It is important to me to speak out about men’s issues and shine a light on things that often go unspoken.” – John Oates of Hall & Oates
“I have had my share of mental and emotional challenges in both my personal and professional life that I've had to deal with and overcome. If my experience can help anyone then I'm pleased to be associated with such a worthwhile organization like Movember.”, shares Oates.
Join John Oates in his Movember journey and grow a Mo to help raise awareness and funds to change the face of men’s health.
