My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. The Movember Foundation is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.

A big night tonight, a lot to play for! But before all that do something good, talk to a friend, family member, colleague or any Mo Bro that might need support today. #movember

So this morning the fundamentalers were at it again, pushing our bodies to the absolute edge of their physical & mental abilities with 'The Movember Murph Challenge', which consisted of a 1 mile Run, 100 Pull-ups, 200 Push-ups, 300 Squats and then another 1 mile run to finish!

It was a really great morning for it, and we had a great turn out, people came from miles around to cheer us on.
It wasn't easy and it wasn't pretty towards the end but hey everyone got through it, there were grunts, laughs and I think I seen one or two tears..

Some may say that a BBQ in the middle of November isn't a good idea but this morning it was the perfect way to end a gruelling workout. The burgers and sausages went down a treat, but I think most of the talk was about the black pudding, even though we didn't have any black pudding, we'll have some next time though and it'll be the stuff without the nuts.

Thanks to Brian (my old man) for supplying the burgers and sausages (http://heaneymeats.ie), Finbarr for supplying the water and the burger/hotdog buns, Essence for the coffee, Sarah for all the preparations and for her maiden voyage on the bbq and Ciaran & Larisse for opening up the gym.

Thanks for everyone for coming out this morning in the bitter cold, I'm sure we raised a fair few quid which will go into programmes in the areas of prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.

Last Saturday a few of us fundamentars took part in the Movember 10km run in the Phoenix Park, it was a super morning, a little chilly but the skies were blue and the birds were singing. For some running this would be their first ever 10km race!
My lads, Seb & Jake also took part in the Mini-Mo run, which was a great little 1.5km run, they absolutely loved it!

This Sunday, The Fundamental Body is at it again and I will be taking part in 'The Movember Murph Challenge' which kicks off with a one mile run, progresses on to high rep pullups, push ups and squats, and closes with another one mile run.

The exact workout is:
1 mile Run
100 Pull-ups
200 Push-ups
300 Squats
1 mile Run

This its an incredibly gruelling regime, but we'll be raising money throughout the morning with a BBQ breakfast thrown in afterwards, so definitely well worth it!!
If you can make it down Sunday morning to support or even better if you'd like to take part then I'll see you there for 10am!

The funds we raise go to world-class programmes in the areas of prostate cancer, testicular cancer and poor mental health. In Ireland funds raised by the Movember campaign go to the Irish Cancer Society and their programme Action Prostate Cancer.
