My motivation

This October, I’ll be running the Dublin Marathon to raise funds for Movember. After losing a close friend to depression, this is a cause very close to my heart. Last year I was lucky enough to be part of a team that raised over €60,000 in James’s honour. It brought us closer together while furthering his legacy and I am delighted to get the chance to do it again.
Movember’s impact goes beyond the projects they fund. The campaign raises awareness and break down the stigma men traditionally felt for speaking up. Additionally, this marathon feels like a full circle moment for me. Running played a huge part in my life while I was grieving and gave me a much needed outlet.
