My motivation

I’m taking part in this years Movember
to raise vital funds to support men’s mental health and suicide prevention. Globally the rate of male suicide is alarmingly high with 6 out every 10 suicides being men. On average a man dies of suicide every minute of every day, that equates to over 510,000 men in the last 12 months alone with this figure expected to increase significantly due to knock on effects of Covid-19.

This is particularly close to my heart as I lost a life long childhood friend to suicide just last year and shockingly his older brother just three years previously.

Movember is one of the leading charities changing the face of men’s health globally and since 2003 have funded over 1200 men’s health charities worldwide.

So this Movember I’ll be growing a dodgy moustache and running 44K at the end of the month to raise vital funds and awareness... (A marathon is 42.19K but I decided on 44K as I’ll be turning 44 on the 21st November).

Any donations, no matter the size would be amazing and greatly appreciated
