"Half Cut For Movember"(WITH FRIENDS)
A BRIEF HISTORY
At 9 months old I lost my right eye when doctors discovered a tumor, I lived away with a glass eye until, then at the age of 41 I was diagnosed with cancer again after discovering a spot on my eyelid which was able to removed.
A few months after & it was back & I had surgery to remove my eye socket, & afterwards 33 sessions of radiotherapy.
Next after another few months I got it on the parotid gland so more surgery & 30 sessions of radiotherapy.
Last (hopefully) but not least it came back on the nerve endings in the right hand side of my face which yes involved another major surgery & 33 sessions of radiotherapy. The surgery & treatment left me disfigured & with no feeling on the right side of my face (a real numb skull) which was hard to come to terms with but the most important thing is that I got a chance to live which others sadly don't get. I have had huge support from friends & family which has got me to where I am today, thanks so so much.
One factor from the Radiotherapy I am unable to grow hair on one side of my face hence came the idea from my Kids at the time for the Half Beard.
After the huge response over the years the guys in the workshop with me wanted me to go again this year. So we'll keep the photos coming & hopefully it will bring a smile to you're face, There's Goaties, Handle bars & the crack which is very important. We're up for challenges but it will cost you..
I am Cancer free now for over ten years which is my blessing I have seen my Children grow up had that time with my Wife (who is the real hero in all this) & Family, which sadly some people don't get the chance to see & it is in my mind but the important thing to remember is :- TALK, Have Hope, Keep Positive & SMILE believe me it helps.

Hey Business Mo's - Happy Friday!

We're halfway through the month and have almost raised a combined total of €300,000 within the Movember Business Club! A HUGE well done and thank you from all of us here at Mo HQ for the work that is going on around the country to help raise funds to change the face of men's health.

International Men’s Day takes place this Sunday, 19 November - if you’re around the Dublin area there is a Family Day being hosted by the Frontline Mo Bros in Phibsborough Fire Station from 11-3pm pop by and say hello!

A shout out to the teams battling it out just off your screens in spaces 21-24 of our leaderboard. We have Team CRH Ireland, Intel Shannon Movember, Raheen Moustachery Society and AGL - Movember Team 2023 - all still to play for over the next few weeks!
