We’re taking the traditional coffee morning fundraiser concept and giving it a twist – literally.
In partnership with Great Irish Beverages and Moyee Fairchain Coffee, we're launching the inaugural #IrishCoffeeDay. The idea is to raise funds and awareness for men's health by getting bars, restaurants and the Movember community to take the traditional coffee morning idea, and Irish it up by hosting their own Irish coffee fundraisers. Irish coffees were the Espresso Martinis of the '80s - and we're bringing them back.
Our network of bars and restaurants around the country will be promoting Irish coffees throughout the day on the 25th. The participating venues will kindly be making a donation to Movember for each one sold, to help men affected by testicular cancer, prostate cancer and poor mental health.
#IrishCoffeeDay is also a great opportunity for you to Host your own event – it is a Friday after all. If you’re looking for original venues to host your own Mo fundraiser, our Host partners, Fillit, should provide plenty of inspiration, and will hook you up with Landlords offering great discounts for Mo Hosting events. Check out Fillit’s Mo Hosting Spaces here.
We're also opening our own pop-up #IrishCoffeeDay bar for the day at 52 Sth William St. in Dublin (at the side of the South William Bar). If you're in town, pop in for one.
Go on – give your lip a creamy Mo.
If you're a bar or restaurant owner/manager or a Host who wants to get involved, we've put some put together some downloadable items that will make your promotion of the day as easy as possible. These are:
