Our Motivation

We are raising money for men’s mental health in honour of our best friend and family member, James, who we sadly lost earlier this year after his courageous battle with depression.

James lit up every room he walked into and made everyone around him feel welcome and valued. His infectious personality and humour could make you laugh at the most serious of times or feel at home in a crowd of strangers. He was truly one of a kind, and we are endlessly proud to call him our best friend. There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t think about and miss him terribly.

While mental illness can affect anyone, the stigma men face when struggling is undeniable. We want to raise funds, but more importantly, we want to spark conversation. Nobody deserves to struggle alone — everybody deserves to be heard and supported.
