Hello everyone,
My name’s Nelson, and this November I’m taking on a challenge which means the world to me.
Six months ago, I lost my father to suicide. Like so many men, he fought through silent battles which too often go unseen. I’ve faced my own struggles with mental health, and I know how heavy those days can feel. But I’ve also learned that talking, moving, and supporting one another can truly save lives.
My dad was a sailor, so the sea is where I’ll honour him.
This Movember, I’m swimming 60 km in 30 days — one kilometre for every man lost to suicide every hour.
