Hey everyone,

I can't quite believe I've signed up to do this but, if I am going to run a marathon, I want to do it for a cause I am passionate about and that I know has touched many of your lives, in some devastating ways. Men are such a big part of our lives—whether they’re our dads, brothers, partners, or friends. I am lucky enough to be surrounded by so many incredible men, who have supported me through those tougher days.

Running for Movember is my way of saying, “thank you and I’ve got your back.” It’s about standing together, supporting each other, and making sure that everyone knows it’s okay to ask for help.

I work with teenage boys everyday and I see how hard it still is for them to be able to talk about how they are feeling or even consider asking for help.

We need to break the silence and the stigma around men’s health. We need to support the men and boys in our lives to speak up and take care of themselves.

I would be lost without the great men in my life.
