Harry via e-mail:  "I have been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer this year at age 43. Movember has given me and my friends and work colleagues a fantastic avenue to raise awareness about this cancer and mental illness at work and in our community while having fun at the same time. Thank You."

K via e-mail:  "Hi - just wanted to thank you for your great male friendly info. My hubby is not ok at the moment and still in denial. I think your stuff will help a lot. Cheers KC."

Al Eggins:"To the Movember Group - Congratulations and thanks for running some great events. A good friend of mine for over 40 years was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer so I decided to go the Mo and help in my small way. Living on the north coast of NSW I thought there would be nothing to participate in until I looked properly at the Movember website.

I spend the morning yesterday at the 'Morning of the Mo' surf contest in Ballina and was greatly encouraged by the number of young men involved who made a real effort to do the 70's thing for men's health. Events like this can only help to raise awareness of the issues in men's health, in these young men and their friends. Well done and keep up the good work."

Garry via e-mail: "Hi Guys, I was working at an office the other day where about 20 young guys had Mo's. I felt so proud of them because 2 months ago I had my prostate removed for cancer. I am 47 years old and was very lucky to have a wife who worked on a prostate ward and nagged me to get my PSA blood test. My prostate specialist says that I am unlikely to ever be affected by prostate cancer again. I had no family history and no symptoms. Male health awareness is a great cause as I would not have made it to 60."

Ashley via e-mail: "Much respect for all the outstanding work you guys have done to date. Almost single handedly you have made it 'cool to care'."

Tom via e-mail:  "I really appreciate your help with the info sources about prostate cancer. Thank you very much. Have spent several hours on the sites already and will continue tonight. I have been reading fairly extensively in the past few weeks and got a second opinion before deciding to go the surgery option. This will happen on 16 May. I certainly have some misgivings about it, but on balance think it's the right call for me. Thanks once again for your support."

David via e-mail: "The following is an excerpt from the email that I sent out earlier this year: Nearly two years ago my Dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. As many of you know, Movember is a charity month that raises money for the men's health charities - in particular Prostate Cancer and Depression. Often with Dads illness I feel helpless in things I can do for him because most of the work is done by doctors and physiotherapists. As I did last year, I see Movember as a chance that I can do something to help Dad and all the other men and their families that have, or in the future will be diagnosed with prostate cancer or depression. You only have to look at the great work done in the field of cervical cancer to see that putting money into something like this is definitely worth it. Last year I raised $400 through the help of friends and workmates. Now with the help of Facebook I am hoping that I can raise $1000 or more...... I was very proud that I ended up raising $1091.85 with particular thanks to my wonderful girlfriend... I might aim for $2000 next year. As you can see from this, Movember not only helps those with prostate cancer by lifting their spirit, raising awareness and money, but also helps the families and friends of those close people affected by this scumbag disease. My father, the rest of my family and I are eternally grateful that your team has put together this concept and will look forward to your email to tell me it is on again in 2008."
