The Movember journey requires commitment and during the month your team effectively becomes a walking, talking billboard to raise awareness for men’s health. But, Movember is also a lot of fun and a great way to bring your team together to share in the experience of growing a Mo; whether you end up with a mighty trucker, a ginger Mo, a handlebar or a lame Mo...

MOVEMBER IN THE COMMUNITY
Each year, local communities embrace the moustache and get on board with Movember. The young, the old and everyone in between, cities, counties & provinces around Ireland can be seen doing their bit for men’s health. The levels and types of support vary from one community to another but the combined efforts play a vital role in helping Movember achieve our vision of having an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.
So weather it’s your sports club, your restaurant or bar, your school or just a bunch of your mates, register your team and start recruiting team members to join you on your hairy adventure. There are many ways you can get involved, from throwing a launch event at your club, letting the media know and spreading the word through social media and your community network, to holding a Mo Party to celebrate your efforts. MOVEMBER IN YOUR UNIVERSITY | COLLEGE | SCHOOL
Since way back, students around the world have embraced the moustache, registered a team and stood side by side, together, to change the face of men’s health forever. There are many benefits participating in Movember can bring to a university, from team building and moral boosting to improving the understanding of the health risks men face and getting them to take action. It also highlights a university’s social responsibility and will increase staff and student engagement and camaraderie within the organisation and the wider university community.
In 2011 Movember is looking to add a little extra spice to the challenge of growing a moustache on campuses in Ireland. We’re inviting staff and students from universities all across the country to take part in the ‘
Ireland Uni Challenge’ – a month long event where men and women represent their chosen institution in hair cultivation and appreciation.
There will be 3 different categories that teams can compete in and we’re encouraging all universities to register teams in the ‘
Ireland Uni Challenge’ Network and embrace all things Mo for 30 days in Movember.
